Ikiro is a ready-to-drink, pure, sparkling green tea that is sourced from Japan and brewed in the USA. As a brand based in LA, Ikiro wanted an identity that reflected the wellness-based lifestyle of their customer base while setting them aside from other RTD teas on the shelves of stores like Erewhon or Whole Foods. With a handful of high-profile backers, Ikiro needed the feel of a luxury brand. By taking inspiration from minimalist Japanese design and fashion editorials, I designed Ikiro's world to feel like a hazy weekend in Hakone after three straight days of a product design conference in Shibuya. Ikiro comes alive with art direction inspired by grainy perfume commercials shot in the hills of LA, accompanied by packaging that sews together the ethos of each culture seamlessly.
